Gillian Palmer, founder of The Finance Hub, launched the business in 2022 with the vision of providing a comprehensive and unified approach to accessing financial advice and services. Before its establishment, many individuals and businesses found themselves left with disjointed financial advice that failed to integrate effectively across their personal and professional goals, often leaving them confused and disappointed.
Since it was first launched, The Finance Hub, which is situated in the historic Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, has won multiple awards and become a recognised and respected name in the local business community. As a result of its success, The Finance Hub has expanded to include offices in Canterbury and London.

Gillian Palmer
Managing Director / Founder
Gillian Palmer is the Managing Director of Lending Made Simple and the visionary founder of The Finance Hub, where she expertly navigates the complexities of business loans and cashflow solutions for her clients. With over 25 years of experience in founding, growing, acquiring, and selling successful businesses, Gillian has a deep understanding of the financial tools business owners and entrepreneurs need to fulfil their ambitions. Her approach centres on delivering personally tailored, flexible, agile, and affordable financing solutions, paired with genuine support and strategic insight.
Widely recognised in the business community for her signature red attire and personable style, Gillian is a natural connector, building lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, and friends alike. Her dedication to making a positive impact extends beyond the office; in 2023, to mark her 50th birthday, she completed two half marathons, raising funds for West Kent Mind Charity, a cause close to her heart.
Outside of her professional life, Gillian embraces a balanced lifestyle filled with countryside walks with her beloved dog, Suzie, coastal escapes, and leisurely brunches with friends. She also shares her love of nature with her son, Harvey—a horticulturist specialising in architectural and tropical plants—on their regular visits to Kew Gardens and Wisley.
With her unique blend of entrepreneurial acumen, integrity, and heartfelt dedication to her clients, Gillian Palmer has firmly established herself as a trusted leader in the business finance sector.
Kate Cherry
Office Manager
Kate Cherry is a seasoned office management professional with over 13 years of experience in creating and maintaining highly efficient and welcoming work environments. She joined The Finance Hub in September 2024 and has quickly found it to be the perfect fit, allowing her to blend her skills with her passion for fostering a positive, organised workplace.
Originally from beautiful Kosice in Slovakia, Kate moved to London at the age of 18 and later relocated with her young family to the charming town of Tunbridge Wells over a decade ago. Embracing a quieter, greener and a more family-focused lifestyle, she has grown deeply fond of the area and its timeless appeal.
Professionally, Kate has a well-established background in managing business centres with a calm, systematic, and structured approach. Known for her warmth and encouraging attitude, she is dedicated to delivering excellence, always striving to go above and beyond. Her hallmark is an efficient, proactive approach, paired with a welcoming smile and an uplifting word for everyone she meets.
Outside of work, Kate is a devoted mother of three, who finds joy in family life and the invaluable lessons her children bring each day. She leads a healthy, active lifestyle and is passionate about holistic living. Her favourite pastimes include long forest walks, swimming, reading, and relaxing with her two cats.

Angela Wilson
Financial Administrator
Angela joined The Finance Hub as a Financial Administrator in September 2024, bringing a diverse background that spans digital marketing, web development, and administration across the finance, media, and education sectors in both France and the UK. Delighted to be part of the team, Angela combines her technical expertise with a strong foundation in client relations and administrative excellence.
Through her exceptional work in helping clients facilitate the funding they need, Angela is known for her integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the clients, making the lending process truly simple and streamlined, helping clients obtain the right funding for their business.
Her professional journey includes pivotal roles in growth marketing and software development, where she managed client acquisition strategies, implemented CRM systems like HubSpot, and developed websites using a variety of programming languages and frameworks. Angela’s administrative experience has honed her skills in communication, project management, and client relationship building, and she thrives in collaborative environments where she can contribute to both personal and professional growth.
Outside of work, Angela is an avid hiker, with a passion for adventure that has taken her to remarkable destinations worldwide, including Madeira, Vietnam, and Madagascar.
Suzie
Chief Morale Officer
Suzie our beloved 10-year-old Westie, joined us in December 2023 when she found her forever home with Gillian after her previous owner passed away. Since then, she’s become an essential part of the team – and yes, she’s often spotted in our Teams meetings, stealing the show!
Suzie’s got a no-nonsense approach when it comes to her needs. Whether it’s requesting treats or signalling when it’s time for a break and some fresh air, she’s never shy to let us know! Her favourite pastimes? Long muddy forest walks, playing fetch, and, of course, those heavenly ear scratches.
Suzie is more than just a pet – she’s part of the family, brightening the office and bringing smiles to everyone who meets her. Swing by for some Suzie snuggles, a cup of tea, and let’s chat about how The Finance Hub can help you with all your financial needs!
